Newport Pavonia and Harborside Financial District
Part of the Historic Downtown section of Jersey City is Newport Pavonia and the Harborside Financial District. This section runs along the Hudson River and has dramatic views of the NYC skyline. Its walking promenade stretches throughout the city connecting the entire Gold Coast, which is how the area along the banks of the river is referred. Bicylers, Joggers and strollers are a common site. The Newport Mall is a hub for upscale boutiques and large anchor stores, a multiplex movie theater and several restaurants.
High rise luxury residential rental buildings populate the area with more constantly breaking ground. It’s a perfect spot for clients testing the area prior to purchasing. The Trump Plaza condominium building has 55 floors and has a second tower slotted for construction.
The late 1990s saw a boom in construction in this section of the city. The 42 story Goldman Sachs Tower is the tallest building in New Jersey and is located across from the NY City Financial District. Many residents find this area is ideal for its ease of commute to the city and for the variety of residences from condo buildings to residential rentals.
